MDMA
MDMA may produce positive feelings, but MDMA
is destroying the body in a largely negative way. MDMA which
didn't become popular until the late eighties, is causing
more deaths by overdose year after year. MDMA is a pop culture
drug found in the club scene. This drug is said to produce
euphoric feelings, but the after effects of MDMA use are said
to produce the exact opposite of this. The after effects of
MDMA are extremely unpleasant. They consist of nausea, hallucinations,
chills, sweating, involuntary clinching of the teeth, tremors,
body temperature increase, and muscle cramping. These sound
far from euphoric.
MDMA also has long-term effects on the brain.
It is said that MDMA is one of the most destructive chemicals
when it comes to the brain. Brain damage is one of the most
adverse effects of MDMA.
Some effects reported by MDMA users that didn't
occur until prolonged use are anxiety, paranoia, and depression.
These after effects are the polar opposite of the desired
effects.
Young "rave goers" search for anything
to make their good time better. Unfortunately they more than
likely search for this in chemicals. Fatal, addictive, destructive
chemicals. MDMA has in its addictive grasp, thousands of teens
and older people.
This drug is widely accepted in the club scene
due to its effects. The effects MDMA produces in the user
are extremely conducive to the environment of the club scene.
Among these effects are profoundly positive feelings, empathy
for others, elimination of anxiety, and extreme relaxation.
These effects of MDMA use do not come without a cost. Most
people will either put the drug down and walk away or will
pay the cost of MDMA use- pay it in death.
MDMA is highly addictive. Its addiction is based
more in the psychological that in the physical. Clinical studies
have shown that the body will not become addicted to MDMA
as quickly as it will become addicted to heroin or cocaine.
This does not mean that it is not easy to get addicted to
it. With MDMA comes a strong psychological effect. This effect
will lead the user to ingest more and more of MDMA. Therefore
the physical addiction starts in the mind. The more and more
the use escalates due to reasons of the mind, the more and
more the body will become physically addicted to it. And this
addiction inevitably ends in death.
MDMA will first make the user feel better than
they have ever felt. While it is doing this it is slowly destroying
the body, mainly the mind. Eventually this use becomes an
addiction. This addiction will worsen as time persists. The
only way to free yourself from the grips of MDMA addiction
is through treatment. Spencer Recovery Centers offers a program
