Methamphetamine

Methamphetamine, more commonly known as crystal meth, is one of the most addictive drugs on the street, and because of this addictive quality methamphetamine claims the lives of many people every year. Methamphetamine is a speed. Methamphetamine is commonly ingested as a powder. This white powder, Methamphetamine, will turn the user's life up side down, and in the end destroy it. Tweek, as it is also known, hit the global drug market hard when it was first introduced, because methamphetamine can be made using household chemicals.

Methamphetamine is what some people know as poor mans cocaine. The effects of Methamphetamine is similar to that of cocaine, with only a couple differences. These differences are the length of time the effects last, and the cost of the drug. Methamphetamine can be used as a speed which can be used in small amounts and pack a pungent drug punch. This drug causes the heart rate to rise and creates the feeling as if the person is on top of the world.

The feelings that the user experiences during the use of methamphetamine causes them to go back for more. The fact that it is a more affordable version of other drugs that speed the body up, it is more accessible to a broad range of people. Due to its effects on the bodies chemistry also leads to addiction quicker than most drugs.

Being that the drug can be made in a house, with household chemicals, allows the users of any community to get more. Meth labs are popping up around the country everyday. And with this growth of labs the growth of addiction follows suit.

Methamphetamine causes the heart rate to rise and the user to feel indestructible, and like most all drugs the after effects are the exact opposite. Methamphetamine causes a condition named "tweeking". This word was of course adopted from the slang term for the drug "tweek". Most users of Methamphetamine are called "tweekers" by other people that don't use other drugs and others that do use the drug. The feeling of "tweeking" is that of a nonstop gnawing by the person. This gnawing takes many forms. The first and most common is the need to clean. Many "tweekers, when "tweeking", will constantly organize and clean their living space, and some go to the extreme of cleaning their bodies with such rigor that it creates sores all over their skin. They begin to pick at their face and it bleeds. These are the after effects of methamphetamine. A drug that can make you feel on top of the world one minute and absolutely insane the next.
